Using the Activity Page in Hashio
| Before you begin: Team members must already be added to your Hashio facility, and batches with workflow steps must be set up before you can hash anyone in. If you need help with either of these, check out the related guides in the Hashio Knowledge Base. |
What is the Activity Page?
The Activity page gives you a real-time overview of what's happening in your facility. It shows which team members are currently signed in (hashed in), what batch and step they're working on, how long they've been working, and whether they're on break.
You'll use this page to manage your team's day-to-day work — hashing members in and out, starting and ending breaks, logging time, and tracking outputs.
The Activity page has two tabs:
- Activity — A card-based grid view showing only team members who are currently hashed in. Each card displays the team member's name, batch, step, start time, and total time worked.
- Worklogs — A table-style list of all work log entries, including both active and inactive sessions. This view shows additional details like outputs, end times, and total duration (work time and break time).
You can switch between the two tabs by clicking the tab names at the top of the page, or by using the grid and list icons next to the search bar.
| Step 1 Navigate to the Activity Page |
The Activity page will open, showing the Activity tab by default with all currently hashed-in team members. |
| Step 2 Search and Filter |
The same search bar and filters are available on both the Activity and Worklogs tabs. |
| Step 3 Understand the Activity Cards |
On the Activity tab, each team member who is currently hashed in appears as a card. Each card shows:
If a team member is on break, the card will show how long the break has been. When they return from break, the work timer continues from where it left off. |
| Step 4 Use the Card Menu |
|
| Tip: Hashing out from the card menu does not prompt you to enter an output. If the step requires an output, you'll need to go to the Worklogs tab and add it through the Edit or View Details option. |
| Step 5 Edit a Work Log |
A window will open showing the full work log details.
|
| Step 6 Use Selection Mode for Bulk Actions |
Toggle Selection Mode off when you're done to return to normal card view. |
| Tip: If you use Bulk Hash Out, outputs are not entered during the process. You'll need to go to the Worklogs tab afterward to add outputs for each team member through the Edit or View Details option. |
| Step 7 Hash In a Team Member |
The Member Hash-In window will appear.
The team member will now appear on the Activity tab as active. |
| Step 8 Bulk Hash In Multiple Team Members |
Selected names will appear at the top of the window under "Hashing in."
All selected team members will be hashed into the same batch and step. |
| Step 9 Log Time Without Hashing In |
Use Log Time to retroactively record work for team members without signing them in live.
The work log will appear on the Worklogs tab but the team member will not be shown as hashed in. |
| Tip: Use the Log for Time Period toggle (marked as BETA) to log a set number of hours per day across a date range. This is great for admin tasks, cleaning shifts, or team members who work a consistent schedule in one area and don't require an output. |
| Step 10 Use the Worklogs Tab |
The Worklogs tab shows all work log entries in a table format. Active work logs appear at the top.
If a team member added a note when they logged out, a "Notes Available" indicator will appear in their row. Click View to read it. |
| Step 11 Understand and Manage Anomalies |
A red triangle icon next to a team member's name on the Worklogs tab means there is an anomaly on that work log. Anomalies are automatically flagged when:
|
| Tip: If your facility has not set up expected outputs for workflow steps, you may see a high number of output-related anomalies. Expected outputs are configured in each workflow step. See the Workflows How-To Guide for setup instructions. |
| Step 12 View and Manage Units of Work |
The Units of Work page will open, showing all available measurement types for outputs.
|
| Tip: Units of work are tied to your workflows. When a workflow step requires an output, the expected output and unit are configured in the workflow setup. If your facility doesn't need outputs for a particular step (such as cleaning or admin tasks), you can skip setting them up — those steps won't prompt for an output when hashing out. For more details, see the Workflows How-To Guide. |
