Using the Activity Page in Hashio

Before you begin:  Team members must already be added to your Hashio facility, and batches with workflow steps must be set up before you can hash anyone in. If you need help with either of these, check out the related guides in the Hashio Knowledge Base.

What is the Activity Page?

The Activity page gives you a real-time overview of what's happening in your facility. It shows which team members are currently signed in (hashed in), what batch and step they're working on, how long they've been working, and whether they're on break.

You'll use this page to manage your team's day-to-day work — hashing members in and out, starting and ending breaks, logging time, and tracking outputs.

The Activity page has two tabs:

  • Activity — A card-based grid view showing only team members who are currently hashed in. Each card displays the team member's name, batch, step, start time, and total time worked.
  • Worklogs — A table-style list of all work log entries, including both active and inactive sessions. This view shows additional details like outputs, end times, and total duration (work time and break time).

You can switch between the two tabs by clicking the tab names at the top of the page, or by using the grid and list icons next to the search bar.

Step 1  Navigate to the Activity Page
  1. In the left sidebar, scroll down to the Tools section.
  2. Click Activity.
  3. Click Worklogs.

The Activity page will open, showing the Activity tab by default with all currently hashed-in team members.

Step 2  Search and Filter
  1. Use the Search bar to find a specific team member, batch, or product.
  2. Click Filters to narrow down what's displayed. You can filter by:
  • Hashed In — Toggle to show only active (hashed in) or inactive (hashed out) team members.
  • Anomalies — Toggle to show only work logs flagged with anomalies.
  • Group — Select a specific team group.
  • Date Range Start / End — Filter work logs by a specific date range.
  • License — Filter by license (if applicable).
  1. Click Clear All to reset all filters.

The same search bar and filters are available on both the Activity and Worklogs tabs.

Step 3  Understand the Activity Cards

On the Activity tab, each team member who is currently hashed in appears as a card. Each card shows:

  • Team member name and avatar
  • Status badgeActive (green) or Break (orange)
  • Batch and Step they are currently working on
  • Start time — When they hashed in
  • Total time worked — A running count of how long they've been working

If a team member is on break, the card will show how long the break has been. When they return from break, the work timer continues from where it left off.

Step 4  Use the Card Menu
  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on any card to see available actions:
  • Start Break — Puts the team member on break. A confirmation prompt will appear.
  • Hash Out — Signs the team member out. A confirmation prompt will appear showing the team member's name, batch, and step.
  • Edit — Opens a window where you can edit work log details, manage breaks, and add outputs.
  • View Details — Opens a full-page view of the same work log information.
  • Delete — Permanently deletes the work log entry. Use with caution.
Tip:  Hashing out from the card menu does not prompt you to enter an output. If the step requires an output, you'll need to go to the Worklogs tab and add it through the Edit or View Details option.

Step 5  Edit a Work Log
  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on a card and select Edit.

A window will open showing the full work log details.

  1. In the Worklog Details section, you can update:
  • Batch Step — Change which batch and step the work log is for.
  • Currently Hashed In — Shows whether the user is active. You can also hash someone out from here by unchecking this box and entering an end time. If the step requires an output, add it in the Manage Outputs section below before submitting — once you submit, the work log will close out.
  • Is Anomaly — Manually flag or unflag a work log as an anomaly.
  • Start Time / End Time — Correct the clock-in or clock-out times if needed.
  • Note — Add a note to the work log.
  1. Click Submit to save your changes.
  2. In the Manage Breaks section, you can edit existing breaks, delete them, or click + New Break to add one.
  3. In the Manage Outputs section, click + New Output to record what was produced. Enter the quantity and select the unit of measure.

Step 6  Use Selection Mode for Bulk Actions
  1. On the Activity tab, toggle Enable Selection Mode to on.
  2. Click on individual cards to select team members. Selected cards will change color.
  3. Click the Multi-Select Options dropdown to choose an action:
  • Bulk Hash Out — Signs out all selected team members at once.
  • Bulk Toggle Breaks — Starts a break for all selected members, or ends their break if they're already on one.

Toggle Selection Mode off when you're done to return to normal card view.

Tip:  If you use Bulk Hash Out, outputs are not entered during the process. You'll need to go to the Worklogs tab afterward to add outputs for each team member through the Edit or View Details option.

Step 7  Hash In a Team Member
  1. In the top-right corner, click the Hash In button.
  2. Select Hash In Member.

The Member Hash-In window will appear.

  1. In the Team Member field, start typing the person's name and select them from the dropdown.
  2. In the Batch Step field, start typing the batch number or step name and select the correct one from the dropdown.
  3. Set the start date and time.
  4. Click Hash In.

The team member will now appear on the Activity tab as active.

Step 8  Bulk Hash In Multiple Team Members
  1. In the top-right corner, click the Hash In button.
  2. Select Bulk Hash In.
  3. In the Select Users field, search for and select each team member you want to hash in.

Selected names will appear at the top of the window under "Hashing in."

  1. Select the Batch Step they'll be working on.
  2. Set the start date and time.
  3. Click Hash In.

All selected team members will be hashed into the same batch and step.

Step 9  Log Time Without Hashing In

Use Log Time to retroactively record work for team members without signing them in live.

  1. In the top-right corner, click Log Time.
  2. In the Select Users field, search for and select one or more team members.
  3. Select the Batch Step.
  4. Enter the Start and End date and time.
  5. Optionally add a Note and any Outputs (quantity and unit).
  6. Click Log Time.

The work log will appear on the Worklogs tab but the team member will not be shown as hashed in.

Tip:  Use the Log for Time Period toggle (marked as BETA) to log a set number of hours per day across a date range. This is great for admin tasks, cleaning shifts, or team members who work a consistent schedule in one area and don't require an output.

Step 10  Use the Worklogs Tab
  1. Click the Worklogs tab at the top of the Activity page, or click the list icon next to the search bar.

The Worklogs tab shows all work log entries in a table format. Active work logs appear at the top.

  1. Each row shows the team member, status, batch and step, outputs, start and end times, and total durations (work time and break time).
  2. Click View to open the work log details in a popup window, or click the three-dot menu (⋮) for additional options:
  • Edit — Update work log details, manage breaks, and add outputs.
  • View Details — Open the full-page work log view.
  • Delete — Permanently remove the work log.

If a team member added a note when they logged out, a "Notes Available" indicator will appear in their row. Click View to read it.

Step 11  Understand and Manage Anomalies

A red triangle icon next to a team member's name on the Worklogs tab means there is an anomaly on that work log. Anomalies are automatically flagged when:

  • The work log exceeds 8 hours
  • The logged output is more than 25% above or below the expected output for that step
  1. Click on the anomaly notification to see the details.
  2. Choose an action:
  • Acknowledge — Clears the anomaly icon. Use this if the entry is correct and no changes are needed.
  • Resolve — Opens the Edit view so you can correct the work log details.
Tip:  If your facility has not set up expected outputs for workflow steps, you may see a high number of output-related anomalies. Expected outputs are configured in each workflow step. See the Workflows How-To Guide for setup instructions.

Step 12  View and Manage Units of Work
  1. In the top-right corner, click Units.

The Units of Work page will open, showing all available measurement types for outputs.

  1. To add a new unit, click + Add Unit and enter the measurement name.
  2. To remove a unit, click the red delete button next to it.
Tip:  Units of work are tied to your workflows. When a workflow step requires an output, the expected output and unit are configured in the workflow setup. If your facility doesn't need outputs for a particular step (such as cleaning or admin tasks), you can skip setting them up — those steps won't prompt for an output when hashing out. For more details, see the Workflows How-To Guide.
