Understanding the Plants Page in Hashio

Before you begin:  You must have Plants access enabled in your Hashio user permissions to view this page. All plants shown here are synced directly with Metrc, so any changes made in Hashio will be reflected in your state compliance system.

What is the Plants Page?

The Plants page is your central hub for viewing and managing every individual plant tracked at your facility. Each row in the list represents a single plant and displays key details at a glance — including its Metrc tag number, strain, current state, growth phase, planted date, age, location, associated plant batch, and license.

From this page you can search and filter your plant inventory, take bulk actions across multiple plants at once, and export your data. The blue links in the Tag and Plant Batch columns are clickable and will take you directly to that plant's or batch's detail record.

Step 1 Navigate to the Plants Page
  1. In the left navigation menu, locate the Plants section.
  2. Click Plants to open the Plants page.

The Plants page will display a full list of all tracked plants at your facility. The total number of plants is shown next to the "Select All" checkbox (e.g., "Select All (29,511)").

Step 2 Search and Filter Your Plants

Use the search and filter tools at the top of the page to narrow your plant list.

Search by Tag:

  1. Type a full or partial Metrc tag number into the Tag search bar at the top of the page.
  2. Click the magnifying glass icon to run the search.

Filter by other criteria:

  1. Click the Filters button to expand the filter panel.
  2. Use any combination of the available filter options to refine your results.
  3. Click the magnifying glass icon to run the search.
FilterWhat it does
HarvestShow only plants associated with a specific harvest
StrainFilter by a specific strain name
BatchShow plants belonging to a specific batch
LocationFilter by the room or zone where plants are currently located
Plant BatchFilter by a specific plant batch record
StateFilter by plant state (e.g., Tracked)
Growth PhaseFilter by current growth phase (e.g., Vegetative, Flowering)
LicenseFilter by license number if your facility operates under multiple licenses
AttributeFilter by any custom attributes assigned to your plants
Step 3 Take Bulk Actions on Plants

Bulk Actions let you update or manage multiple plants at the same time without having to open each plant record individually.

  1. Check the box next to one or more plants in the list, or click Select All to select every plant currently displayed.
  2. Click the Bulk Actions dropdown button in the top-right area of the page.
  3. Choose the action you want to apply from the menu.
Bulk ActionWhat it does
Change StrainUpdate the strain assigned to the selected plants
Change Growth PhaseMove the selected plants to a different growth phase (e.g., from Vegetative to Flowering)
Change AttributesAdd or update custom attributes on the selected plants
Move PlantsRelocate the selected plants to a different room or location in your facility
Apply Additives (location)Record an additive application (e.g., pesticide or nutrient) for the selected plants by location
Update Attributes CSVUpload a CSV file to update attributes across multiple plants at once
Destroy PlantsRecord the destruction of the selected plants in Metrc. This action is irreversible — use with caution.
⚠ Important:  Destroy Plants is highlighted in red in the menu because it is a permanent, irreversible action that is reported to Metrc. Double-check your selection before proceeding.
Step 4 Export Your Plant List
  1. Apply any filters you want to narrow the list first (optional).
  2. Click the Export button in the top-right corner of the page.
  3. A CSV file will download containing the plant data currently displayed in your list.

Tip: Filtering before exporting is a great way to pull a targeted report — for example, all Flowering plants in a specific room.

Step 5 Navigate Using Linked Fields

Several columns in the plant list are clickable links that take you directly to related records — no need to navigate there separately.

ColumnWhere it links
Tag (blue link)Opens the individual plant detail page for that specific Metrc tag
Plant Batch (blue link)Opens the Plant Batch record associated with that plant
Plant Group (coming soon)Will display the plant group the plant belongs to and link directly to that group's record
? Tip:  Clicking a Tag link is a quick way to view the full history and details of any individual plant without leaving the Plants page workflow.
