Using the New Plants & Plant Batches (Beta) Pages in Hashio

Before you begin:  These two new Beta pages are replacing the current Plants and Plant Batches pages on August 1, 2026. Everything still syncs directly with Metrc, so your plant and batch data stays exactly the same — only the page design and tools are getting an upgrade.

What Are the Plants and Plant Batches Pages?

Hashio splits your cultivation inventory into two connected views:

  • The Plants page shows every individual plant that has its own Metrc tag. Each row is one tracked plant.
  • The Plant Batches page shows your seeds and clones that have not yet been promoted to individually tagged plants. Each row is one batch of young plants growing together.

The two views are connected. A plant batch is where your clones and seedlings live first. Once those young plants are promoted and given their own Metrc tags, they appear as individual plants on the Plants page. You can always jump from a batch to the tagged plants that came from it using the Plants tab inside any batch record.

This guide walks through both new pages. Part 1 covers the Plants (Beta) page, and Part 2 covers the Plant Batches (Beta) page. Because the two pages work almost identically, once you learn one, the other will feel familiar.

Part 1: The Plants (Beta) Page

The Plants (Beta) page is your central hub for viewing and managing every individual, tagged plant at your facility. Each row shows a plant’s key details at a glance — its Metrc tag, strain, state, growth phase, planted date, age, location, plant batch, and license.

Step 1  Open the Plants (Beta) Page
  1. In the left navigation menu, click Cultivation to expand it, then click Plants.
  2. At the top of the page, click the Plants (Beta) tab (marked with a small orange “Beta” label).

The total number of plants appears in the dark badge next to the page title.

Step 2  Narrow Your List by State and Growth Phase

Two quick-filter rows sit just below the page title. Click any option to instantly filter the list.

State row:

Choose one: Tracked, Harvested, Untracked, Destroyed, or All. Each option shows a live count of how many plants fall into it.

Growth phase row:

Choose one: All, Immature, Vegetative, Flowering, or Mother.

Your two selections work together — for example, Tracked plants that are also Flowering.

Step 3  Search and Filter Your Plants

Below the quick-filter rows is a set of search fields. Fill in one or more to refine the list.

Filter fieldWhat it does
TagSearch for a full or partial Metrc tag number.
LicenseShow plants under a specific license (helpful if you run more than one).
LocationFilter by the room or zone where plants are currently located.
StrainFilter by a specific strain name.
Plant BatchShow plants that came from a specific plant batch.
AttributeFilter by any custom attribute assigned to your plants.

The list updates to match your filters. Clear a field to widen your results again.

Step 4  Adjust Columns, Export, or Sync

Three buttons sit in the top-right corner of the page:

  1. Columns — click to choose which columns appear in the table. The button shows how many are turned on (for example, “Columns (10/10)”).
  2. Export CSV — download your current list as a spreadsheet file you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
  3. Sync — pull the latest plant data from Metrc so your list is fully up to date.
Step 5  Take Bulk Actions on Multiple Plants

Bulk actions let you update many plants at once instead of opening each one.

  1. Check the box on the left of each plant you want, or use the checkbox in the column header to select all plants shown.
  2. Click the Bulk actions button that appears above the list.
  3. Choose an action from the menu:
Bulk actionWhat it does
Change strainUpdate the strain assigned to the selected plants. This change is pushed to Metrc for you.
Change growth phaseMove the selected plants to a different phase (e.g., Vegetative to Flowering). This change is pushed to Metrc for you.
Move to locationRelocate the selected plants to a different room or zone. This change is pushed to Metrc for you.
Set attributesAdd or update custom attributes on the selected plants.
Log wasteRecord waste for the selected plants. This creates a waste event in Metrc. (A separate guide covers logging waste in detail.)
Print labelsPrint tag labels for the selected plants.
DestroyRecord the destruction of the selected plants in Metrc.
Tip:  Change strain, Change growth phase, and Move to location all push automatically to Metrc, so you no longer have to make these updates in Metrc separately — saving you a step.
Tip:  Destroy appears in red because it is a permanent action that is reported to Metrc and cannot be undone. Always double-check your selection before using it.
Step 6  Open a Plant’s Detail View

1.  In the table, click a plant’s Tag (the blue link in the first column).

The plant’s detail page opens. At the top you’ll see four summary cards — Total cost, Additive spend, Applications, and Harvest weight — followed by four tabs:

TabWhat you’ll find
OverviewA lifecycle timeline (Planted → Vegetative → Flowering → Harvested) and full plant details such as strain, room, license, age, plant batch, and Metrc tag.
Additive applicationsA record of every additive applied to this plant, with dates and amounts.
CostA cost breakdown (production, additive spend, accrued labor and materials, and total), plus an additive spend-over-time chart.
Lineage & historyWhere the plant came from — its plant batch, cultivation batch, harvest, any clone batches taken from it, and recorded work sessions.

2.  When you’re done, click Back to plants in the top-left corner to return to the list.

Part 2: The Plant Batches (Beta) Page

The Plant Batches (Beta) page manages your seeds and clones — the young plants that share a single batch record and have not yet been promoted to individually tagged plants. Each row is one batch and shows its strain, plant counts, location, planted date, age, and license.

Step 1  Open the Plant Batches (Beta) Page
  1. In the left navigation menu, under Cultivation, click Plants.
  2. At the top of the page, click the Plant Batches (Beta) tab (marked with an orange “Beta” label).

The total number of batches appears in the badge next to the title.

Step 2  Filter and Read Your Batch List

Status tabs:

Use the Active, Inactive, and All tabs to switch which batches appear.

Search fields:

Refine the list using the Name, License, Location, Strain, and Attribute fields.

Reading the Counts column:

Each batch shows a live breakdown of its plants:

CountWhat it means
TrackedPlants that have been promoted and given their own Metrc tags.
UntrackedImmature plants still growing as part of the batch.
PackagedPlants that have been moved into packages.
DestroyedPlants that have been wasted or destroyed.
Step 3  Use Row Actions and Bulk Actions

For a single batch:

  1. Click the three-dot menu ( ⋮ ) at the end of a batch’s row.
  2. Choose View (open the batch), Change growth phase, or Destroy.

For several batches at once:

  1. Check the box next to each batch you want.
  2. Click the Bulk actions button, then choose an action:
Bulk actionWhat it does
Change strainUpdate the strain on the selected batches. This change is pushed to Metrc for you.
Move to locationRelocate the selected batches to a different room or zone. This change is pushed to Metrc for you.
Set attributesAdd or update custom attributes on the selected batches.
Print labelsPrint labels for the selected batches.
DestroyRecord the destruction of the selected batches in Metrc.
Step 4  Open a Batch’s Detail View

1.  Click the batch’s Name (the blue link in the first column).

The batch detail page opens with four summary cards — Tracked (tagged plants), Untracked (immature), Packaged (moved to packages), and Destroyed (wasted) — followed by five tabs:

TabWhat you’ll find
OverviewBatch details such as strain, room, license, type (seed or clone), planted date, age, and plant group.
PlantsThe individual plants in this batch, each with its tag, state, growth phase, strain, and location.
Additive applicationsEvery additive applied to the batch, with date, amount, cost, and status.
CostThe batch’s cost breakdown — accrued labor and materials, additive spend, live units, and cost per unit.
Lineage & historyWhere the batch came from — its source mother plant, source batches, cultivation batch, and recorded work sessions.

2.  When you’re done, click Back to plant batches to return to the list.

Tip:  The Plants tab inside a batch is the bridge between the two pages. It shows you exactly which tagged plants grew out of that batch — the same plants you’ll find on the Plants (Beta) page.

That’s everything you need to start working in the new Plants (Beta) and Plant Batches (Beta) pages.
