How Hashio Captures Labor Cost — Sized to Fit Any Facility

Labor is one of the biggest costs in production — and every facility runs it a little differently. Hashio gives you three ways to capture labor cost, so you can match the method to how your team actually works. Use one, or use all three together. Whichever you choose, the cost lands where it belongs — on the batch — and rolls right into the cost of what you produce.

Cost Centers on Workflow Steps

How It Works

You build cost centers — fully-loaded hourly rates — and assign them to the steps of your workflows. As team members work a step, they hash in and out. Hours logged × the cost center's rate = absorbed labor and overhead on that batch.

Best For

Manufacturing and production work that happens in defined workflow steps — kitchen, packaging, extraction, pre-roll, and more.

Hourly Rate on the Associate Profile

Team member or supervisor hashes in & out

How It Works

Add an hourly rate directly on a team member's profile. They hash in and out of cultivation locations and plants, and Hashio costs those work sessions — hours × their rate.

Best For

Cultivation, where labor happens at the plant and location level rather than a workflow step. Currently available for cultivation only.

Good to Know

The rate lives on the person, not a department. This works hand-in-hand with the newest cultivation updates.

Salary Expense via Accounting

Finance / Director applies it

How It Works

Enter a labor expense in the Accounting module — for example, a QuickBooks salary expense — then allocate it across a span of batches. Split it evenly or by yield, plant count, harvested plants, or days active.

Best For

Salaried labor and costs that don't map to hash-in / hash-out sessions — applied top-down by your finance or accounting lead.

Good to Know

You choose which batches share the cost and how the split is calculated — then post it. No manual journal entries needed.
